Most Dutch programmes begin with registration in Studielink, the national higher-education registration portal. The institution may then require a second application in its own portal. Selective numerus fixus programmes can have earlier procedures.

Central systems do not erase university-specific requirements. They only determine where the application begins.

Admission may still require certified documents, tuition and immigration steps.
